Disability Rights Commission Disability Agenda

UKCAE welcomes publication of the Disability Rights Commission Disability Agenda and is delighted to see it recognises the importance of business actively engaging in the promotion of positive attitudes.

The Disability Agenda states: "Creating a society based on equality and human rights will require a judicious mix of strategic legal enforcement, effective influencing of public policy, and a promotion of positive attitudes and cultural change. "

"The CEHR [Commission for Equality and Human Rights] cannot succeed on its own. Action must come not just from the Commission, but also from governments, business, the voluntary sector and media. Achieving a culture of equality and human rights demands action at every level of society."
